Love for food made me to explore different flavors of Bengaluru (Veg). I have listed here few places I have visited in this year. Every individual has his own opinion(Its my personal rating). I am not a big fan of too much spicy food. 2017 I have dedicated more time in exploring vegetarian foods in Bangalore . Here is the outcome. Still Bengaluru has lot of flavors. With time I will update the blog.
Best place to visit with lot of options is Sheshadripuram eating street where Umesh dosa point, Yummy Tummy, Pure chat center and so many other options you will get it. Thinidi bidhi VV Puram is second option. Gandhi Bazaar is the second option where you get Dosa, thali, ice cream, parota, and other options. Koramangala 5th block is another option where you get 99 varieties of dosa, Shree Thali, Ragi malt in one juice center and pudina dosa in Shree Krishna caffe. If you walk further, near Forum, you get Gramin which is one of the good veg restaurant.
Here I have listed few of the restaurants. I will update this blog whenever I visit the same places again (for pics and informations) or any new places which serves Bengalurians with a tasty veg food items.
Malleshwaram and surrounding
1. CTR , Malleshwaram *****
One of the oldest restaurant in Bengaluru. This is my favorite place to eat butter masala dosa. Try mangalore bajji with a filter coffee.
2. Janata hotel Malleshwaram ****
Another nice place to have dosa. Try Sambar vada also with a filter coffee.
3. Veena stores, Malleshwaram ****
Soft idly and crispy vada with chutney. Try khara bath and shavige bath also.
4. New Krishna Bhavan Malleshwaram ****
Try different varities of idly here. Special mention to green masala idli.
5. Shriraj Lassi Bar (RT Nagar, Malleshwaram) ***
Try gudbud and lassi. Not to forget my favorite minto cool. Try srikhand and kulfi.
6. Holige Mane , Malleshwaram ****
My favorite is badam holige and dry fruit holige.
7. Raghavendra stores, Malleshwaram ****
Jayanagara and surrounding
25. Mayyas, Jayanagar (**** for lunch .. ***** for dosa)
If you are in Mayyas, you must try special masala dosa. It really can compete with the CTR.
26. Gufha , Jayanagar ***
Went with my friends to this one good place. Food was good. Very good place to have a lunch with your friends.
27. Mane Holige , Jayanagar ***1/2
If you are holige fan, this is one place you must try.
28. Euki Jayanagara ****
That was my marriage treat given by Sharath and Sridevi with our close buddies. Such an awesome day it was. With the experience I don't have stars to express my gratitude for the gesture they have shown. Italian and Mexican food lovers should try this place. Try Burrito , momos and pasta.
29. Dosa camp, Ganesh Darshan, Jayanagar ***
Many have opinion that this old dosa camp has become like other darshinis. Still I prefer it when I am around Jayanagara 4th block for a coffee and dosa.
30. Roll over ice cream, Jayanagara ***1/2
Have you tried this ice cream ? This is one of the experience you can have with your friends. Go with your friends and share different kinds of ice creams.
31 Hatti Coffee , Jayanagara 4th block ***1/2
This outlet in front of Mayyas serves hot filter coffee with snacks. I tried samosa and peanut bun. Worth the price.
It was a surprise bday party to one of my best friend Mithun by his wife Bhawana. Only close friends were invited. Food was good but bit expensive.
38. BonSouth, Koramangala ** (Not worth for price)
We went for lunch buffet to this place. Not even a worth for the price.
39. Sree Krishna Cafe , Koramangala ***
Try pudina dosa here.
40. Soho, Koramangala ***
A good place to have lunch buffet in Koramangala.
41. Gramin , Koramangala ****
One of the best North Indian veg restaurant in Bengaluru. Try Bhindi rajasthani and lassi. Even meals are good.
For 100 Rs unlimited chapathi with tasty curry. For 20 Rs yummy lassi and for 30 Rs tasty shrikhand. Paisa vasool thali.
50. A2B Marathahalli ** (A2B RT Nagar **1/2)
Service is bad and need to wait for long time. Food is ok ok. RT Nagar is little better and I like the coffee there.
Indiranagar and surrounding
51. GMT ice cream, Indiranagar ****
The place where you can have ice cream peacefully. Ambience is good and the place is perfect place to go with your friends.
52. Paradise biryani, Indiranagar ***
For veggies, who doesn't like too much spicy food, this is best place to enjoy biryani. It was tasty veg biryani.
Vijaynagara and Majestic surrounding
53. Rajdhani hotel, Orion mall ***
Rajdhani has different tasty food with most of the items are sweet. Those who doesn't like sweets this is not your kind of hotel. It is a Gujarati special..
54. Ambrosia , RR Nagar **** (Bit costly)
A perfect place to have a candle light dinner with your partner. A mexican and italian options are really good. The chocolate ice creams are awesome. Choco planet is awesome. Its preparation itself is a kind of experience.Must try atleast once.
55. Durga Grand, Nagarbhavi ***1/2
Food was good and worth the money. Ambience and service was good for which I have given 1/2 *. Starters are really good.

9 Kalmane Coffee , Mantri square ***
Most of our friends meet used to held here. After renovation ambience looks fine. Crowded place but serves good coffee.
10. Umesh Dosa point , Sheshadripuram ****
Not many people know this place. But if you want to try different dosas, this is the place you should try. Try Pudi masala, bath masala and other different varieties of dosas. Idly with ghee and lemon rice are also good. There is a chat center beside dosa point. That is also one place you must try if you are a chat lover.

If you are a cheese lover, this is the place you must try. You can try Cheese ball, corn canopy , sandwich, garlic bread. But don't try pani puri here.

Next to Umesh Dosa point, you find this small bajji shop, where you get different varieties of bhajjis. Capsicum bhajji is my favorite.
13. Mangalore Stores , RT Nagar ***

Before my brother's marriage this was my routine mess for 7 years. They have maintained both higiene and taste. Extraordinary place to have north karnataka food.

Newly opened Brahmins tatte idli is having an awesome taste. Soft idli and crispy vada is the top priority. You can also try Puliogre, shavige bath and coffee.

The lunch has different varieties of items. They serve you more than different varieties of items. Good place to have south indian food.

If you are a fan of Davangere benne dose, this is a must try place.

We had a wonderful meal here. Good place to have lunch. Service is little slow. But not comparable to other famous outlets.
24. Mini Punjabi Daba Hanumanth Nagar ****
Have you tried this pocket friendly Punjabi daba. We tried Roti, dal , Bhindi fry and lassi. That is the best Punjabi food I had in Bengaluru.

Even masala dosa is famous here. Try rava idly which is originated here and other items. Not to miss a strong coffee. For me this is still the best.
22. Ramu tiffin VV Puram *** (Quality reduced when I went)You take any non Kannadiga to different food outlets in Bengaluru and then take them to here. They would mostly prefer MTR than any other place. Probably the best place to have lunch or dinner. Even masala dosa is famous here. Try rava idly which is originated here and other items. Not to miss a strong coffee. For me this is still the best.

I have visited this restaurant many times, but with time it has reduced the quality and it has become expensive. Starters are good and apart from buffet the special sweets are little expensive. When we have quality veg restaurants like Gramin, it has to improve a lot.

34. Siddappa hotel , Sampangi rama nagara **** (***** for masala dosa)
Probably one of the best dosa you can get in Bengaluru. Idly and butter dosa is good. You need to wait in a queue for more than an hour in weekend to get the service.
36. India coffee house, Church street ***
A peaceful place to have cutlet with a coffee in MG Road. This has a legendary history. Before Independence INC used to have discussion here. Don't expect anything. Plain dosa is ok ok but cutlet with a coffee combination was very good. Must try if you are in MG Road.

Probably one of the best dosa you can get in Bengaluru. Idly and butter dosa is good. You need to wait in a queue for more than an hour in weekend to get the service.

The second place I have visited with my wife. Ambience was good. Food is average and Biryanis not comparable to other famous outlets.
