25th April :
The train started at 8:20 PM. Our (me,Guru,Vineeth) seat was in 3A. First time I was going in AC compartment in train and Rajdhani experience was also first time. We chose train to enjoy our journey and to experience national heritage route i.e. Kalka to Shimla. At 9 'o' clock we got our dinner. We were hungry and it was not bad. Before meal they served us with bread stick with butter and soup. For dinner we had 2 chapathis, 1 cup curd, 1 paneer gravy , dal and rice. Then we were served with ice cream. They will give one liter drinking water. After dinner, we pulled the middle birth seat and went to bed. I slept in the middle birth, Guru and Vineeth were in the upper birth. There was one small family with 2 kids who occupied the 3 other seats. They were from Delhi and husband is employee of Cisco.
26th April :
I woke up early morning at 5 'o' clock, but saw Guru and Vineeth were still sleeping and slept again to woke up at 7 AM. The train stopped at 8 AM at Sikandarabad station for 20 minutes. We got free news paper in both English and Hindi. I think train will get the necessary food items for further journey from here. At 9 'o' clock we got our breakfast. You can order veg or non veg breakfast. For veg breakfast they will give 1 Vada, little upma , 2 breads with butter. A sugar packet , milk powder, dip tea for tea. A cup of hot water they will give later. Vineeth and Guru went to bed after breakfast and I started writing these experiences capturing some paddy farms of rice bowl of India. Sikandarabad station was cleaner than Bangalore and I thought that might be because of less people.
At 12:45 we got our lunch. We almost had the same menu as dinner. Instead of paneer masala we had vegetable kofta. After lunch we started roaming around all other births from B1 to B10. We were in B8. Pantry was seperating A from B. Then Guru and Vineeth slept for some time and I started reading till we reached Nagpur station at 3:20 PM. At 4:00 PM we got our snacks and tea. For snacks we got 1 Samosa, 1Sonpa pudi, masala ground nut. At 8:00 PM we got our dinner. It was same as last night. Train stopped at 9:25 PM at Bhopal station. In the meanwhile service boy was asking money from all passengers for serving us :D.
27th April :
Morning we were supposed to reach Nizamuddin station by 5:30 AM. So we woke up at 5:00 AM. But we reached station around 6:15 AM. It was a good experience and I enjoyed every bit of journey. Toilet was clean and food was good. I can not say it was best, but it was up to the mark.
If you have time , its best way to reach Rajdhani. We said good bye to co-passengers and moved to our next plan.
