It was one fine day, I decided to take my sister and brother-in-law to Shivana samudra. We had a plan to visit some other places but due to time constraints we could only visit twin falls of Shivana samudra.
Shivana samudra where Asia's first power project was launched is formed by two water falls. Gaganachukki and barachukki.
It was a family trip. My sister,brother-in-law,nephew shreyu ,brother, aunt and cousin Chetan accompanied me.We left Sunkadakatte at 10:30 AM. We had breakfast in Adigas kengeri and then reached Gaganachukki via Malavalli at 1:20 PM.
I must say one of the best water falls in India. We had enough fun for an hour and left to Barachukki at 2:30 PM. You will get snacks, fruits but difficult to get any other food near by.

Barachukki
You can get wet in water and can enjoy in barachukki falls. You have to climb down few steps. But be cautious, up to some distance you can play in river. After that there is caution board. If you are visiting twin falls, you should visit barachukki first. Because it closes for public by 5:00 PM.

After playing in water for more than 1 hour, we left at 4:15 PM. Around Bangalore, this is the best place to visit. If you can plan better you can cover talakadu,somanathapura. Even ranganatittu is near. There is a view point near Durga which we missed. Near durga we can see the top view of the falls.

Best time to visit is during monsoon, when full fledged rain will be there.
