Himalayan Trek - Toy Train Experience

Kalka to Shimla train was the best train experience I ever had. It was slow moving train but captured some of the interior regions of  Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.

Train was scheduled to depart at 12:10 PM but it left at 12:20 PM. Usually toy train will wait for the Kalka Shatabdi express. Our seat was in the middle row. It was not comfortable sitting there and taking photos.

Fortunately last 7 seats were
empty and we occupied those seats and kept our luggage in the adjacent seats. Later one couple sat in front of us. No need to tell we found many newly married couples visiting Shimla for honeymoon. Girl was very beautiful and boy was very much worried about her beauty :P.
Scenic beauty from toy train

I captured  most of the scenic beauties from my Nikon P500 camera. If you want to capture nature's amazing picture book your ticket on right side of the train since most of the views will be on the right side of the train.

Train went through many tunnels and we crossed more than 100 tunnels. This route has India's longest tunnel.

In between we had our lunch at 1:30 PM. We again opened our Chapathi and MTR Ready to Eat.  We had brought enough food items that included dry fruits, chocolates, biscuits.
